On 10 May 2024, the graduation ceremony of the Master of Pharmacy at the Medical University of Białystok took place.
In the Aula Magna of the Branicki Palace, graduates with their families, the Rector's and Dean's Authorities of the University gathered. The ceremony was also attended by the following invited guests: Vice-Chairman of the Supreme Pharmaceutical Council Marian Witkowski, M.D., Podlasie Province Pharmaceutical Inspector in Bialystok Justyna Gosk-Frankowicz, M.D., President of the Regional Pharmaceutical Council in Bialystok Tomasz Sawicki, M.D., Rector Elect Prof. dr hab. Marcin Moniuszko, Vice-Rector for Education Prof. dr hab. Adrian Chabowski, as well as heads of organisational units of the Faculty of Pharmacy with the Division of Laboratory Medicine, faculty members, tutors, supervisors of scientific circles, and a representative of the Student Council, Joanna Kruszyńska.
After the speech, Dean honoured graduates involved in active work for the Faculty, the University and the student community: Katarzyna Błaszczak, Zuzanna Kita, Sylwia Ogniewska, Paulina Karolina Prusaczyk, Natalia Rakowska. Sylwia Ogniewska and Natalia Rakowska also received awards for their activities in student organisations from the Vice-Rector for Education.
The Pharmacy graduates honoured their student representative, Sylvia Ogniewska, with flowers and a gift, who has devotedly worked for many years for the good organisation of the studies and the integration of her fellow graduates.
Addressing the graduates, Rector Elect of MUB Prof. dr hab. Marcin Moniuszko, wished them success, courage in introducing changes to the Polish healthcare system and working at high levels in the state administration to reform the system for the benefit of patients. In turn, MUB's Vice-Rector for Education Professor dr hab. Adrian Chabowski, thanked the graduates for choosing their Alma Mater.
Then Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy with the Division of Laboratory Medicine, Professor dr hab. Wojciech Miltyk, read out the text of the oath and the graduates took the formal pledge.
The ceremony was enriched by the performance by the MUB Choir under the direction of Professor dr hab. Anna Moniuszko.
At the end, the deeply moved graduates tossed their birettas and posed for a group photo in front of the Branicki Palace.
The first year of Pharmacy studies at MUB graduated in 1991. This academic year, 87 graduates completed the course, and since the beginning of pharmacy education, MUB has educated 2141 pharmacists
