Dr hab. Renata Markiewicz-Żukowska (assistant professor in the Department of Bromatology at the MUB) and Dr Michał Tomczyk (head of the Department of Pharmacognosy at the MUB) were appointed to the Dietary Supplements Team of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Council at the Chief Sanitary Inspector in the new term.
The Team for Dietary Supplements is a consultative and advisory body of the Chief Sanitary Inspector. The Team functions within the Sanitary and Epidemiological Council. Among the tasks of the Team is to provide substantive and scientific support to the Chief Sanitary Inspector in clarifying the circumstances concerning the notified products referred to in art. 30 par. 1 of the Act of 25 August 2006 on food and nutrition safety, including dietary supplements containing substances of plant origin, by developing written opinions in the form of resolutions adopted by a majority of the Team members.
