    Graduation ceremony for postgraduates of the MBA in Healthcare

    On Saturday 23 March 2024, a graduation ceremony was held in the Aula Magna at MUB to present diplomas to graduates of the first edition of the 'MBA in Healthcare' postgraduate programme. The studies were completed by 21 students.

    Prof. dr hab. Janusz Dzięcioł, Vice-rector for Clinical Affairs and Vocational Training and Head of the 'MBA in Healthcare' postgraduate programme, spoke at the ceremony. In his speech, he said: "The idea for an MBA at MUB came from the conviction that at our University we can give a high-quality foundation for the education of leaders and ambassadors of professional change in the healthcare system." Prof. Dzięcioł expressed pride in the fact that the University has educated experts who have a comprehensive knowledge of the healthcare system, can effectively seek information and are able to make difficult decisions and take responsibility for them."

    Prof. dr hab. Marcin Moniuszko, Rector Elect, present at the ceremony, congratulating the graduates, expressed his conviction that the University had prepared passionate leaders and ambassadors of professional activities in healthcare. He stressed that the first, historic edition of the MBA in Healthcare had given a good direction for the development of management education in the medical sector.

    Afterwards, the graduation lecture entitled: "A leader in action" was delivered by Paweł Bogusław, a trainer and coach, graduate of Łazarski University's Executive MBA HR programme, Vice President of the Polish Association of Business Coaches. He referred to the characteristics of a good leader and a good manager. He highlighted the importance of empathy in teamwork.

    Following the lecture, certificates were presented to the graduates by Prof. dr hab. Marcin Moniuszko, Rector Elect, and Prof. dr hab. Janusz Dzięcioł.

    Dr Sławomir Czaban spoke on behalf of the graduates. He thanked for the opportunity to study a new course at the MUB with excellent lecturers, despite the hardships of many dedicated teaching hours, tests and papers. In his evaluation of the studies, he used the methodology of poetic text analysis, giving high marks for the quality of education with an ambitious programme, the atmosphere created in the first edition group and the standard of the studies. He wished the Rector Elect to reach for the stars in the development of the University, and Professor Janusz Dzięcioł to continue such a high quality of postgraduate studies. He also wished all those involved constant attention to the humanisation of work in health care.

    Congratulations to all graduates of the MBA programme.

     

    Recruitment for the 3rd edition of the MBA in Healthcare at MUB will start in the winter semester 2025 in May. It will be expanded to include aspects of environmental protection and low-carbon management in healthcare facilities.

    The main objective of the studies is to provide theoretical and, above all, practical knowledge in the field of management and organisation of the health care system, taking into account financial, legal and economic aspects. The course perfectly prepares students for managerial positions in private and public sector organisations.
