    18th Bialystok International Medical Congress

    For the 18th time, the Bialystok International Medical Congress for Young Scientists (BIMC) is being held at the Medical University of Bialystok.

    On 10 May, 2024 the inauguration of the conference was officially opened by the Rector Elect, Prof. dr hab. Marcin Moniuszko. In his speech, he welcomed the assembled guests and participants of the Congress, expressing his sincere wishes for scientific success, fruitful interpersonal relations and further deepening of their knowledge. He emphasised the role of such events in the development of the academic community and in creating the future of medicine through the exchange of ideas and experiences. His words were an inspiring message to all present, encouraging active participation in discussions and the search for innovative solutions.

    The opening lecture on emergency medicine was given by Dr Marlena Waszkiewicz-Stojda, head of the Department of Paediatric Emergency Medicine.

    The conference, organised at the MUB Faculty of Health Sciences, is rich in programme, covering a wide range of topics in medicine. Participants are in for three days of intensive work, during which they will have the opportunity to attend 18 scientific sessions and 9 workshop sessions, as well as listen to open lectures on topics such as: allergology and dermatology, anaesthesiology and surgery, internal medicine, gynaecology and obstetrics, cardiology, orthopaedics, paediatrics, neurology and psychiatry, public health.

    The conference is an excellent opportunity for young scientists to exchange experiences, learn about the latest research results, but also to integrate. It will be attended by representatives from Poland and abroad.


    The BIMC is organised by students and postgraduates affiliated to the Students' Scientific Association.
