Introduction to internal medicine
Classes are held from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Subjects of classes:
- The interview and history taking strategy.
- Common symptoms.
- Symptoms of the cardiovascular and respiratory system diseases.
- Symptoms of the gastrointestinal system diseases
- Symptoms of the renal, reproductive and musculoskeletal system diseases.
- General examination. Examination of the head and neck.
- General examination of the chest, examination of the respiratory system.
- Examination of the heart and peripheral vessels.
- General examination of the abdomen, examination of the liver. Examination of the spleen, intestines, per rectum examination.
- Examination of the renal and reproductive system.
- Examination of the musculoskeletal system.
- Student independent preparation of clinical history – interview and physical examination, suggesting initial diagnosis, suggesting additional examinations, patient observation, differentiation and treatment.
- Basic electrocardiography, demonstration of typical ECG curves in myocardial infarction, arrhythmias and conduction disorders.
- Demonstration of clinical cases with particular emphasis on changes in a physical examination.
