    REGULATIONS FOR CLASSES ON INTERNAL DISEASES - CARDIOLOGY

    CARRIED OUT IN THE DEPARTMENT OF INVASIVE CARDIOLOGY OF UMB

    FOR STUDENTS OF THE FACULTY OF MEDICINE 6TH YEAR

     

    1. Classes are held according to the schedule established by the Dean of the Medical Faculty of the Medical University of Bialystok and the curriculum approved by the Faculty Council.
    2. The student is obliged to comply with health and safety, fire and sanitary and epidemiological regulations. The above regulations are published on the Clinic's website.
    3. Classes at the Department of Cardiology include obligatory participation in exercises and seminars.
    4. Classes start at 8.00 (internal diseases training block), 12.45 (seminars on practical solving of clinical problems - PRPK) and at 8.00 (selected clinical subject - cardiology). Classes are held according to the schedule provided.
    5. Before the start of classes, bags and other personal belongings (outer garments) should be left in the student cloakroom.
    6. During all classes it is obligatory to change shoes and have your own clean medical gowns.
    7. During the classes, each Student should have a stethoscope and an identifier containing the name and surname and the term 'student'.
    8. During all classes (exercises, seminars, lectures) mobile phones, notebooks, laptops and other electronic devices must absolutely be turned off.
    9. It is not allowed to take photographs and record presentations and lectures on other media under pain of disciplinary consequences. The prohibition of photographing applies in particular to taking pictures of patients.
    10. The student is obliged to observe professional secrecy. Any documentation concerning the patient (in written or electronic form) kept and performed during classes must be devoid of personal data and other information enabling the patient's identification.
    11. During the classes, Students are not allowed to leave the Clinic without the knowledge and consent of the person conducting the classes.
    12. The student is obliged to participate in classes with the student group to which he was assigned at the beginning of the academic year.
    13. Attendance at all classes is obligatory. The student is obliged to come to classes on time. Late persons may not be allowed to participate in the classes, which will be tantamount to unexcused absence.
    14. In the case of excused absence (sick leave, dean's leave), the relevant certificate must be provided to the person conducting the exercises within 7 days from the end of the sick leave period. Documents delivered after this date will not be honored.
    15. In the event of an excused absence - the obligation to make up for the classes after prior arrangement with the teaching assistant or assistant professor. It is possible to make up for exercises in case of absence of up to 3 days. Absence from classes should be made up for within 14 days from the end of the exercise block. The student is obliged to catch up on his own and obtain a credit from the assistant conducting the exercise block.
    16. The student has the right to view written assignments within 2 weeks of the end of the exercises.
    17. The student is informed about the results of his written work and the final grade directly from the assistant in an oral form
    18. The student may obtain a credit for the exercises and the course credits only during the academic year
    19. The student has the right to consult the person conducting the exercises outside of class hours after prior appointment with the assistant
    20. Form and conditions of passing - meeting the following conditions jointly:
      1. Students are required to prepare theoretical preparation for each class. The condition for passing the exercises is attendance at all exercises and seminars.
      2. The method of completing individual exercises - oral (discussion during classes, observation of the student's work, assessment of activity during classes).
      3. The method of completing seminars with PRPK - oral (active participation in classes).
      4. In the event of failure to complete the classes - re-credit within 14 days from the end of the exercise block.
      5. Completion of the exercise block must be documented with an entry in the student's workbook. Lack of entry within 14 days is tantamount to failure to complete the exercise block.
