REGULATIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF BIOSTATISTICS AND MEDICAL
INFORMATICS IN THE AREA OF DIDACTICS
- Before entering classrooms at the Department of Biostatistics and Medical Informatics, change of footwear is mandatory into soft shoes or pads. Outerwear is not allowed in classrooms.
- Students are obliged to adhere to work hygiene and safety regulations, which they are familiarized with when they begin their classes at the Department of Biostatistics and Medical Informatics.
- Student attendance at practical classes, seminars, and lectures is mandatory.
- Each absence is to be excused by the student immediately after the reason for the absence ceases (i.e. during the first classes the student participates in after the period of absence at the latest) and the material covered during the absence is to be covered individually by the student in a form agreed on with the lecturer.
- Absences amounting to over 40% of the total number of didactic hours of classes result in the student’s failure to complete the subject and receive the course credit.
- Rules for obtaining course credits and passing examinations as well as the assessment criteria are included in the respective course syllabuses. The details, particularly those concerning the dates, are determined by the lecturer. The Head of the Department may, in special circumstances, determine an alternative form of course completion.
- Students are informed about the results of examinations and final tests in the form established with the lecturer (which must be consistent with the regulations on personal data protection).
- Students have the right of access to their own written assignments (interim tests, final tests, examinations) at the time agreed with the lecturer, in their presence or the presence of a person designated by the lecturer.
- Taking photographs and making audio and video recording in classrooms at the Department of Biostatistics and Medical Informatics is forbidden. In special circumstances, the lecturer may grant permission to such activities.
