Didactic Rules of the Physical Education and Sports Department
- Obligatory physical education classes are carried out for the individual fields of study according to the schedules for the academic year 2024/2025
- The student is obliged to attend: -15 classes during the winter semester, -15 classes during the summer semester according to the course schedules of the Physical Education and Sports Department
- Each student who is obliged to participate in physical education classes must report to the group to which they were assigned.
- Classes consist in physical exercise tailored to the capabilities and skills of the students.
- Students participating in physical education classes are required to have a sports outfit (a T-shirt, shorts, track suits) and a change of footwear. No complete outfit can cause not allowing students to classes.
- It is forbidden to bring and use books, notes, mobile phones, MP3 players, and other electronic accessories during classes.
- The student may have one unexcused absence.
- The student may be excused from an individual physical education class on the basis of a medical certificate, or another certificate issued by the university or other state institutions.
- The students who are permanently unable to do physical exercise during physical education classes are obliged to provide the medical certificate to the Physical Education and Sports Department in the first two weeks of the semester. The medical certificate has to be issued by a medical specialist with appropriate recommendations for exercise.
- The student receives a credit from the subject of physical education based on class attendance and active participation in the classes.
- On completion of the physical education course a credit is awarded as an entry in the student record book made by a person appointed by the head of the Physical Education and Sports Department.
- All individual cases or questions directed to physical education teachers can be raised during the office hours of the department staff on the scheduled date and time. The information about the office hours is available on the Physical Education and Sports Department website as well as on the notice boards located at the sports facilities of the Medical University of Bialystok.
- In cases not covered by the rules, the decision is taken by the head of the department whose office is situated at the premises of Physical Education and Sports Department at no 3 Akademicka Sreet. Tel. (85) 748 58 17
