THE DEPARTMENT OF GASTROENTEROLOGY AND INTERNAL MEDICINE

RULES & REGULATIONS

for 4th year medical students 2023/2024

1. Attendance at classes, seminars and lectures is mandatory.

2. Classes and seminars are held as scheduled.

3. The course begins with a medical examination knowledge test.

4. An exam in Gastroenterology (20 test questions) takes place on the day before the last day of the course.

5. To pass the Gastroenterology course, each student is required to take an active part in course meetings, produce 1 patient history in writing, and pass the final exam.

6. According to the University Rules & Regulations, attendance at all lectures is mandatory.

7. A student who fails at the final exam will have to retake it within the subsequent 28-day period (which is final and cannot be extended).

8. Students will be given an opportunity to view their test papers on the final day of the course, in the presence of the course teacher or another person duly authorized by the Head of Department

9. Short-term absences will be excused upon presentation of a doctor’s note or the Dean’s note.
