Stress reduction:
The Medical Simulation Department together with its colleagues (Jacek Chmielewski - Psychiatry Clinic, Janusz Myśliwiec - Nuclear Medicine Department) promotes conscious presence, mindfulness among medical students and MUB employees.
Mindfulness is a special way of life in which we focus on what happens to us without judging. It is attention to "here and now" with an attitude of acceptance, lack of rating, patience, honesty, unexpectedness, loving kindness, care and compassion for the current situation, compassion for yourself and others. Practicing conscious presence correlates with well-being and a sense of health. This attitude is useful both in private and professional life, in the work of a doctor, teacher and student, partner, parent and child. Mindfulness really helps.
Depending on the epidemiological situation, we are planning workshop sessions for students of the 6th year of the medical faculty and employees of the University who express their willingness to participate in the meetings. Applications from students of the 6th year - are accepted by the Class President (after agreeing the dates - possible from October). Applications from employees, both individual and entire Clinics, should be sent to the following address - wlodzimierz.luczynski@umb.edu.pl Classes are conducted in Polish, intermediate knowledge of Polish is required.
I encourage you to read the news on stress reduction for medical students and healthcare professionals during the epidemic and more:
