    Assumptions and aims

    of the course

    Students should gain knowledge of: Orthopedics examinations with neurological examinations. Birth and developmental musculoskeletal defect. Tumors and infections of musculoskeletal system. Osteoporosis. Child's trauma and multitrauma. The goals of bracing. The student supposed to know: wound dressing, applying and changing aseptic surgical dressing , performing cast application and temporary immobilization of the fracture, set the joint luxation; performing skin and skeletal traction application; to put in and to remove stitches; evaluating conditions of an unconscious patient pursuant to international point-based scale ; make a decision about diagnostic of brain, chest, abdomen and musculoskeltal system injury; to recognize and treat local infections.
