The International Cooperation Department informs about the completion of works on the Virtual Walk around the facilities of the Medical University of Bialystok. The works on the walk began in October with outdoor photos. In recent months, at many points of the University, you could meet the representatives of the Contractor preparing the largest virtual walk in Poland! An intuitive content management application has been developed in recent months. The lecturers' voices were recorded, which constitute a guide to the most important facilities of the University. They allow you to learn about its history as well as its research and infrastructure potential. The application includes a number of amenities designed for people with disabilities. The key distinguishing feature of our virtual walk is its bilingualism. The overriding goal was to create a tool that would allow students and candidates for studies from around the world to virtually visit the Medical University of Bialystok. This is to be not only a significant help in everyday functioning, but also help in the decision to study at MUB. The aim of creating a virtual walk was also to increase the internationalization of the University and to shape attitudes of openness and tolerance in the academic environment and the social environment of the university.
The walk covers the most important facilities of the Medical University of Bialystok. Hundreds of external photos and drone shots were taken. Thanks to the Virtual Walk, it is possible to visit many closed spaces and laboratories. We are convinced that even the long-term employees of MUB did not know all its secrets. The Medical University of Bialystok is a place where history and tradition meet modernity. Virtual Walk is an attempt to discover many secrets hidden both by historic interiors and modern research spaces. The virtual walk is available on the MUB home page and at the link: https://www.umb.edu.pl/en/virtualwalk
We encourage you to visit the Medical University of Bialystok during the largest virtual walk in Poland!
The virtual walk was created as part of the project entitled "The gates of MUB are always open. Support for the development of the Welcome Centre and the university's potential to serve foreign students and researchers". The project is financed by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange under the Welcome to Poland (2020) programme.
