    "Knowledge without borders" among the awarded projects from the NAWA "Welcome to Poland" programme

    Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange has announced the list of projects co-financed under the "Welcome to Poland" programme (call for proposals 2023). Among the projects that received funding was a record number of MUB projects – as many as 3 of them received a positive decision of NAWA (for 3 submitted applications, that is, as much as the limit was for a single entity). This year's call selected a total of 33 entities, with an allocation of PLN 15,000,000, of which MUB received funds in the amount of PLN 1,490,067.61, which is the best result in the country and places our University in the first place of entities raising funds under the "Welcome to Poland" programme. MUB acquired a total of 12 projects, being a beneficiary of the above-mentioned programme in each of its editions (i.e. five editions).

     

    The project "Knowledge without borders. Access to prestigious, electronic, global knowledge resources as a pillar of modern education” is the tenth project co-financed by NAWA (the second in the 2023 call) and was written by employees of the International Cooperation Department: Sylwia Klepacka and Jakub Wszeborowski, in cooperation with the head of ICD Tomasz Maliszewski, PhD. The project received co-financing in the amount of PLN 499,600 (the limit for one project was PLN 500,000) and will be implemented for a period of 16 months (2024-26).

    Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange, announcing the list of projects co-financed within the framework of the "Welcome to Poland" project in the 2023 call, awarded the MUB's project "Knowledge without borders". The project, which received financial support in the amount of PLN 499,600.00.

     

    The aim of the project is to develop the internationalization of MUB e.g. by extension improving the quality and access to knowledge for foreign university stakeholders. For students and PhD students, this means facilitating the learning process, and for international staff, access to the best standards in teaching and research.

    The following activities are planned within the framework of the project:

    - new will be the purchase of digital tools and materials to prepare for the USMLE (United States Medical Licensing Examination).

    - access to interactive English-Language Access platforms and electronic scientific journals;
