Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange has announced the list of projects co-financed under the "Welcome to Poland" programme (call for proposals 2023). Among the projects that received funding was a record number of MUB projects – as many as 3 of them received a positive decision of NAWA (for 3 submitted applications, that is, as much as the limit was for a single entity). This year's call selected a total of 33 entities, with an allocation of PLN 15,000,000, of which MUB received funds in the amount of PLN 1,490,067.61. This is the best result in the country and places our University in the first place of entities raising funds under the "Welcome to Poland" programme. MUB acquired a total of 12 projects, being a beneficiary of the above-mentioned programme in each of its editions (i.e. since 2018).
The project "Everywhere is good, but at MUB the best" received co-financing from the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange in the amount of PLN 499,467.61, with a implementation period of 24 months (2024-26). This is the twelfth co-financed project from the "Welcome to Poland" programme, it was entirely written by employees of the International Cooperation Department: Jakub Wszeborowski and Sylwia Klepacka, in cooperation with the head of ICD Tomasz Maliszewski, PhD.
The main goal of the project is to promote the MUB brand on the international stage and strengthen the potential to serve people from abroad. It is intended to show MUB as a university not only dynamic and modern, but also friendly and open to people from abroad.
The following activities are planned within the framework of the project:
- a bilingual (Polish-English) visual identification system of the Medical University of Bialystok will be developed;
- participation in educational fairs, where the University's English-language offer will be promoted to potential candidates;
- online campaign to promote MUB among potential candidates for study in the UK and Ireland;
- a one-day online conference will also be organized, the main recipients of which will be potential candidates for English-speaking studies and their parents, as well as the foreign academic community of the MUB.
