The "PRECISEMED" project aims to revolutionize the approach to education in the field of precision medicine. MUB, together with the foreign partners, will modernize medical curricula ensuring that future professionals are well-equipped to work in the field of genomics.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the MUB (project leader) and foreign partners co-implementing the project - the renowned Irish HEI - University College Cork and the innovative Hungarian biotechnology company iBioScience Kft. The meeting provided an excellent foundation for 3-year cooperation.

During the first day, the following events took place: a welcome meeting, which, in addition to networking, was an opportunity to get acquainted with local attractions, culture and cuisine. The second day was also full of attractions that strengthened relationships within the project team, including: sightseeing at the Branicki Palace and the Museum of the History of Medicine and Pharmacy. As a next stage of the international project meeting, the presentations were given by the MUB representatives. The Principal Investigator - Dr. Witold Bauer from the Genomics and Epigenomics Laboratory of the MUB presented the goals, assumptions and planned deliverables of the project as well as other substantive aspects related to the distribution of work among the partners.

In turn, the Project Manager, Sylwia Klepacka from the International Cooperation Department of the MUB, presented the general scope of work packages (WPs), with particular emphasis on the work package related to the project management. A relevant part of the session was a general discussion about expectations with reference to the project implementation.

The last part of the meeting was devoted to team building. With assistance of an external facilitator, the participants took part in numerous team games and simulations, supplemented by the most important theoretical aspects, among others, key aspects of teamwork, techniques of effective communication in a team, strategies to build a trust in a team, and methods of solving potential conflicts. The meeting was ended with the final session, during which the results of previous discussions were summarized and the topic about upcoming tasks planned for the project was discussed.
