The 14th UMB Academic Sports Tournament is behind us. Students, PhD students and staff competed in three disciplines: futsal, table tennis and volleyball.
The competition was well attended, with 11 teams competing in futsal, 14 in volleyball and 31 in table tennis: (11 women and 19 men).

Showcase matches of UMB Staff vs. UMB Students are a tradition of our Academic Tournament. This year we competed in table tennis and volleyball.
The UMB staff in the tennis match was represented by the Vice- Rector for Education, Professor Adrian Chabowski, PhD, and Bartłomiej Kałaska, PhD - Vice-Dean for Science and Evaluation of the Faculty of Pharmacy with the Division of Laboratory Medicine at MUB.
The Students' team was played by Miłosz Nesterowicz and Igor Jaroszewicz.
The result was 3 : 0 for the Students.
During the volleyball exhibition match, the UMB Staff played: Marcin Moniuszko (captain), Justyna Hermanowicz, Ludmiła Marcinowicz, Sylwia Naliwajko, Piotr Bernaczyk, Andrzej Eljaszewicz, Adam Hołownia, Paweł Sowa, Arkadiusz Surażyński.
The Students' team played: Agnieszka Kucharewicz (captain), Ewa Jarzembowicz, Maciej Domanowski, Dominik Łuniewski, Jan Magdziuk, Miłosz Nesterowicz, Paweł Niczyporuk, Marcel Taudul, Bartosz Tuchliński, Andrii Zhorodnii.
The result was 2 : 0 for the Students.
This year's edition of the MUB Academic Sports Tournament demonstrated the high sporting level of students and their great commitment to fair play competition. The tournament became not only an arena for fierce sporting rivalry, but also an excellent opportunity to integrate the academic community.

The tournament was organised by the Department of Physical Education and Sport, the AZS UMB University Club, the Student Government, and the Promotion and Recruitment Office.
