My project is entitled "Profiling of miRNA and immune checkpoint molecules associated with effective anti-cancer immune response in colorectal cancer in vitro model." under the supervision of Professor Marcin Moniuszko and Kamil Grubczak, PhD with the collaboration of Andrzej Eljaszewicz, MSc, PhD, Marlena Tynecka, MSc, PhD student, Jordan Michael Holl, MSc, PhD student, Anna Kretowska, 5th year Medical student. In my project, I am focusing on the study of interactions between some specific miRNAs, which will be established after profiling studies, and immune checkpoint molecules during anti-cancer responses to establish their role in colorectal cancer progression and possibly novel targets for future therapeutics.

In 2018 I won the prize "Alla ricerca dell'eccellenza" awarded AdAstra Foundation for my Master Thesis paper on "Non-psychotropic cannabinoids as anticancer agents for prostate carcinoma". At present, I am working at the Department of Regenerative Medicine and Immune Regulation as a PhD student within the Impress program, where I am focusing on studying profile miRNA and immune checkpoints in colorectal cancer.

Research interests: Cannabinoids, Endocannabinoid System, Cancer, Immune System.
